Product Description:
Lentinan is an effective active ingredient extracted from the fruiting body of high quality lentinus edodes. It is the main active ingredient of lentinus edodes and a host immune enhancer. Clinical and pharmacological studies have shown that lentinus edodes has antiviral, anti-tumor, immune function regulation and interferon formation stimulation. Properties: Lentinus edodes polysaccharide is grayish white powder, mostly acidic polysaccharide, soluble in water, dilute alkali, especially soluble in hot water, not soluble in ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, ether and other organic solvents, its aqueous solution is transparent and viscous. Lentinus edodes is a polar macromolecular compound whose specific structure is closely related to immune activity. It is generally believed that increasing the solubility of polysaccharide is beneficial to improve its physiological activity. The activity of medium relative molecular weight polysaccharide was higher than that of high or low relative molecular weight polysaccharide. Polysaccharides soluble in hot water have been shown to have antitumor activity. At present, the extraction of lentinus edodo polysaccharides is mostly done in hot water and dilute alkali solution, avoiding in strong acid and alkali solution, otherwise it is easy to cause the break of glycoside bond and conformational change in polysaccharide. The commonly used separation and purification methods are generally followed by boiling water extraction, ethanol precipitation, dialysis and column chromatography
