Product Description:
L-methionine is methionine levoform, chemical formula is C5H11NO2S, chemical properties for colorless or white shiny flake crystal or white crystalline powder, slightly with a special smell, taste slightly bitter. Melting point 280 ~ 281℃. It is unstable to strong acids and can lead to demethylation. Soluble in water (5.6g/100mL,30℃), warm dilute ethanol, alkaline solution or dilute inorganic acid. Insoluble in ethanol and almost insoluble in ether. Used in biochemical research and nutritional supplement, also used in the adjuvant treatment of pneumonia, cirrhosis and fatty liver, can also be used as a feed additive.
